Our client is a leading global manufacturer of braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Due to further success and growth a position is available for a highlly mechanical minded Mechanical Fitter to join their team.

The role will be reporting to the Production Manager working in a workshop environment consisting of 30 Fitters with a key focuss on repairing hydraulic and pneumatic parts and components of rail vehicles.

The Duties:

• Refurbishment and repair work
• Disassembling and re-assembly work
• Repairing rail braking systems various control components such as valves
• Completing job sheets on work performed

The Requirements:

• Australian recognised trade certificate
• Strong pneumatics and hydraulics experience
• Possess a high level of mechanical savviness
• Long term committment within the position
• Experience servicing and repairing rail vehicles
