An opportunity exists to join a large community health study in Busselton in a full-time role. The Busselton Healthy Ageing Study (BHAS) is collecting health data and physical assessments from over 3000 adults aged 45-64 years to investigate the risk factors and causes of chronic disease and loss of function associated with ageing. The BHAS involves a number of leading research groups and is administered by the Busselton Population Medical Research Institute.
Based at the Busselton Health Study testing centre at 18 West St in Busselton, the successful applicant will play a key role in collecting biological specimens and performing varied medical and physical assessments for medical research purposes. The position would suit applicants with nursing or science-related qualifications and preferably have experience with a range of tests including phlebotomy. Full training will be provided. We are seeking a multi-skilled team player who pays attention to detail and has excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively and compassionately with study participants.
