Multi-National Mining Company is seeking a Project Metallurgist. The company has major mining projects throughout the world and operates a number of mines throughout Australia, Canada, Europe and South America. The company is committed to sustainable development and has secured a long-term supply of electricity and gas to meet forecast demand for the life of its current and planned operations in north-west Queensland.

The project metallurgist role is a 12 to 18 month Brisbane based contract. The position is autonomous and requires a person with experience with grinding test work or laboratory citations. You will be required to liaise with outside laboratories. There will be some travel to Mt Isa & Perth.

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

· Metallurgical Degree or other appropriate degree
· Experience with laboratory citations or grinding test work
