Our Client is a Global Contractor with projects exceeding Billions around the globe, a market leader in the delivery of multi disciplinary infrastructure projects with proven capabilities across the water, transportation and heavy engineering. Due to project now in the busy construction phase a need has arisen for a Project Controls/ Planning Manager to bring together and lead a team of primavera planner/schedulers creating meaningful data and accurate schedules. This role will be reporting to the Project Director.
The person we are looking for will be responsible for the planning and scheduling functions of the project. This is a key position within the organisational chart and requires someone who has previously worked as a Planning Manager on a large Construction/EPCM project.
· Managing a team of 10 primavera planners to collect construction data from site staff, enter the data into the project schedule and then deliver meaningful reports for management
· Ensuring team is adhering to a tight delivery schedule.
· Establishing and maintaining accurate construction, procurement and deliverables schedules based on work breakdown structure and contract requirements
· It is imperative that you can manage many activities co-currently and ensure that less significant works do not impede on the critical path of the project.
· Relevant Tertiary qualifications and a minimum 10 years + industry experience in planning/scheduling
· Be competent in planning & organising work schedules
· Strong skills in project planning systems, in particular Primavera P6
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated track record of successful delivery by effective team management
