Our client, a leading transport company with over 30 years experience specialising in in country and interstate express deliveries, is seeking a second transport allocator to join their dedicated head office team.

With an excellent safety record, our client is an Accredited Basic Fatigue Management company and prides itself on driver safety being a priority whilst still delivering on time.

As the Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for allocating deliveries and pickups to a fleet of local and interstate vehicles, planning and scheduling local delivery runs and liaising direct with customers.  This will involve processing drivers paperwork daily and ensuring driver compliance with fatigue management and other company policies and procedures. Other duties will include assiting with quotes, vehicle analysis and inspections and updating reports

Predominantly day time hours, Monday to Friday, you will be required to be on call to take telephone calls one weekend per month and the occasional night during the week.

The successful candidate will have all of the following:

• The ability to think on your feet and problem solve
• Have exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Thrive in a busy and fast paced environment with a "can do" attitude
• Ooze with confidence and be highly self motivated
• Have industry experience (including knowledge of truck sizes, licence requirements and capabilities)
• Have strong skills in microsoft programmes and good keyboard skills
