This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for either short term work at the EL1 level within a property and facilities environment, or a current permanent APS6 Property and Facilities Officer to gain some exposure to the duties at an EL1 level.
Due to an increase in workload, my client has the need to engage an EL1 Property and Facilities Manager for 3 months to assist in reducing some of the back log of activities. Those activities include:
- managing the leasing and tenancy arrangements across multiple sites;
- managing the delivery of office services;
- tasks associated with the role of the Agency Security Adviser; and
- high level of liaison with service providers, contractors and employees.
The role will also include some responsibility for procurement, contract management, property, accommodation, asset management, records management and associated reporting responsibilities under applicable legislative and policy frameworks.
The successful candidate may be required to complete tasks associated with some or all of the activities listed above. It is essential that the successful candidate have experience in most of the duties described above, as well as demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a shifting environment, strong interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills and will ideally have experience in procurement, contracting, property management and records management.
