This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Publications and Communications professional to contribute to a variety of documents and books for an Indigenous program on behalf of the Federal Government.
On offer is a 4 month contract with a possibility of extension at a competitive hourly rate, in line with APS5 and APS6 salary levels. You will also have the chance to work on three separate, diverse yet equally interesting deliverables.
The first will require you to use your creativity and flair for graphic design and composition to put together a Ministerial publication. This high level, high impact human interest publication will highlight the Department's achievements in the program areas and will include photographs and images with accompanying notes and explanations.
The second will call upon your creative writing, editing and journalism skills to put together an 80 page coffee table book documenting 15 years worth of achievements, including editing of the history section, and researching and writing from scratch three case studies of successful projects. This will also provide an opportunity to research and liaise with the various stakeholders to identify the detail of the subject.
The last will require you to use your editing skills and understanding of plain language to deliver key messages as you review and update the website guidance documents for the overall program.
