Lead Offshore Structural Engineer

With an established name and demonstrated expertise within the field of Construction and Engineering, Titan is a preferred supplier to a range of clients including Major Contractors, Consultancies, EPCM and Owner Operators. At present we, are currently working alongside an international consultancy to recruit a dedicated and experienced Lead Offshore Structural Engineer in the Perth office. Working within the Civil / Structural team in the Infrastructure division, you will be involved in a portfolio of major projects undertaking FEED and detailed design of offshore substructures, topsides and bridges for fixed, floating and minimum facilities platforms. Duties and Responsibilities: * Leading and undertaking structural design elements for major offshore projects to a range of codes and standards, including API, AISC, DnV and ISO standards. * Leading and participating in concept and front end design work. * Working in and or leading in a team environment with Engineers and other multidisciplinary team members * Managing the production of drawings and reports and preparing co-ordinating structural specifications * Preparing calculations, reports, and other technical documents * Attending meetings and communicating with the project team on project specific issues. * Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs * Managing project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget * Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team Applicant Requirements: * Degree qualified, Chartered Engineer * Extensive experience in the field of offshore structural design and experience across a range of medium to large scale projects in offshore structures * Experience of leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects * Essential to have comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability based analysis, dropped object. * Be able to design and deliver structural engineering solutions on major and/or complex projects * Excellent planning and organizational skills * Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) * Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness If you would like to discuss this role in more detail, please contact Matt Ronan on +61 8 6467 0637, for a confidential chat.
