A large organisation is looking for a Process Improvement Consultant to take on a permanent role in Sydney. The successful candidate for this role will come from a Manufacturing and/or Transportation (Logistics) background. Ideally, you'll be a high performer who is able to handle complexity and influence stakeholders. Your past experience as a Change Agent will see you spend project time on stakeholder engagement to overcome resistance. You will understand the importance of reliability of data in order to overcome difficulties arising from "data based decision making". Your expertise will set realistic expectations and the selection of projects will be aligned to business priorities. You will understand the principles and application of Design for Six Sigma for Supply Chain Design and Performance Monitoring. The following level of skills is required: - A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualification; Green Belts will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager (Ideal but not essential)
- A minimum of 5 years experience (ea) with Lean, Six Sigma and TQM
- A mindset of a leader rather than a strategist; demonstrated through your work history
- Coaching and mentoring experience demonstrated through your ability to document and lead training modules
- Supply chain management experience
- Accredited &/or certified with PMBOK, PMP, ITIL (Desired but NOT essential)
- An assertive yet professional style of communication and a willingness and the capability to use it to influence employees at all levels
- The endurance and the attitude to adapt to a challenging and constantly changing environment; coupled with the ability to multi task and take on multiple projects
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Applying Six Sigma techniques in a way which improves supply chain outcomes
- Utilising models such as the SCOR model and Lean/Six Sigma adaption
- Discussing the benefits and limitations of your chosen model(s)
