SOUND TELEGRAPH / SOUTHERN TELEGRAPH
SENIOR REPORTER
Telegraph Newspapers incorporating the Sound Telegraph and Southern Telegraph, part of the West Australian Regional Newspaper Group, requires an experienced and energetic reporter to be based at the Rockingham office.
Applicants should have experience in many facets of journalism and must display initiative, common sense and have a good eye for a news story.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter who is able to work unsupervised. Experience and demonstrated skill in digital photography will be highly regarded, as will experience in design and layout and sub-editing.
An interest in sport will also be an advantage, although not essential.
Duties will include sourcing and writing the major news stories for the weekly publication and taking photographs.
The ability to adhere to strict deadlines is essential and applicants must be keen to be part of a committed newspaper team. This position represents an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
