Community Development Officer : Part time

About our Client

Our client are a leading property developer who have a major community development currently underway. Working with their existing marketing team, they are looking for a Community Development Officer to help ensure that programmes and strategies are in place to foster local relationships and community engagement.

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the strategy development and implementation of community development strategies, you will work with local community groups and key stakeholders to implement ongoing programmes and events focusing on longer term and bigger picture objectives as well as short term goals. This is a role with a large focus on liaison and communication, proactive relationship development and sponsorship recommendations and identification of initiatives and events.

The Successful Applicant

You will have previous demonstrable experience in community development strategy implementation, ideally with a background in not for profit or local government although this is not essential. You will have experience in managing events and community engagement coupled with planning and consultation. Familiarity with grants and funding is also advantageous.
