Located on St Kilda Rd Melbourne, this booming company is at the top of the food chain, specialising in soft commodities. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the trading team and assist the Financial Controller in the delivery of effective financial management reporting, systems improvement and processes. Key responsibilities will include (however not be limited to): - Act as the main finance liaising point between the trading teams and the Financial Controller
- Reconcile, analyse, investigate and clearly explain variances in key accounts
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and compliant
- Provide the Trading division with decision making support and advice
- Assist in the annual planning process including financial, risk and capital budgeting
- Process data and reports that may be required for management accounting and/or audit
CA/CPA qualified, the successful candidate will have experience working with complex financial systems coupled with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in a similar role. Ideally, you will hail from a medium to large corporate or professional services firm, specialising in the commodity or derivative trading space. Previous exposure to SAP would be advantageous however, not essential.
